After leaving the old northern city of Porto, where there were enthusiastic and passionate audience, the artists of the National Ballet of China, led by Zhu Yan, deputy director of the Company, went southward to Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal, located in the southwest harbor. As the first performance came to an end in Porto, the classical ballets and splendid performance presented by the National Ballet of China, not only received a lot of applause from the local audience, but also triggered a wave of Chinese ballet in Portugal as they went southward
