From 1999 to 2019, Wang Qimin has been on the stage of National Ballet of China for her  golden 20 years as a ballerina. In 2001, she danced the leading role in Giselle, which is her first protagonist since she entered National Ballet of China and then she won the golden medal in the Moscow International Ballet Competition. After recover from the injure, she also returned to the stage by performing as "Giselle". On December 1st, 2019, Giselle will be staged as the Commemorative Performance for the 20th Anniversary of Stage Performing of Wang Qimin. It then became an important node in her artistic career.

In the "Commemorative Performance for the 20th Anniversary of Stage Performing of Wang Qimin", the National Ballet of China specially invited German Stuttgart Ballet's principal dancer Friedemann Vogel, to dance the leading role of "Albert". The two "old partners" had worked together many times before. Interestingly, Giselle is also the first full-length ballet starred by Friedemann in his ballet career, so the coming performance is very  special for both of the two ballet stars to remind their original aspiration together, and is even more significant.

Both Wang Qimin and Friedemann Vogel attached great importance to this performance, and Friedemann Vogel came to the National Ballet of China nearly one week in advance and has begun intensive rehearsals.
