ollowing the consummation of 2025 Annual Musician Assessment by the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra (“NBCSO”), Artistic Director Feng Ying and other leaders and artists on the judging panel expressed their congratulations to the NBCSO musicians.

On May 19, the NBCSO held its 2025 Annual Musician Assessment in the auditorium on the fourth floor. Over 70 musicians of the orchestra participated in the sessions.

Senior leaders from the NBC formed the judging panel.

The live-streamed event featured engaging commentary by Cao Shuci, former prima ballerina and répétiteur of NBC; Shi Qin, deputy director and principal harpist of NBCSO; and Wang Xiaomao, assistant music director of NBC and concertmaster of the NBCSO.

For purpose of the assessment, musicians performed self-selected pieces either as soloists or in ensemble groups.

The consummation of this annual assessment further strengthens the orchestra’s technical prowess and artistic excellence, to meet audience friends with renewed vigor and top-tier performances!
