In response to the overwhelming anticipation from the audience, the National Ballet of China will once again present the ballet Onegin at the Beijing Tianqiao Theater from October 16 to 18.
In 1965, the ballet master John Cranko created the ballet Onegin based on the classic literature work Eugene Onegin, set to the music of Tchaikovsky.
In 2008, the National Ballet of China staged this masterwork for the first time, allowing Chinese audiences to appreciate the ballet through the interpretation of Chinese artists. When the ballet was restaged in 2021, it once again sparked a wave of enthusiasm among audiences.
In 2025, the accomplished dancers of NBC will once again bring this classic with rich literary depth and emotional intensity to the Chinese stage.
From October 16 to 18, welcome to join us at the Beijing Tianqiao Theater to witness the sparks of literature and ballet, and experience the unique and nuanced interpretation of this classic ballet by NBC dancers.
