On July 15 and 16, the National Ballet of China staged its classic Chinese ballet The Red Detachment of Women at the CPAA Chengdu Grand Theatre. As the curtain fell and rose again for the collective curtain call, the audience erupted in thunderous applause and cheers, with many spectators spontaneously rising to their feet and offering sustained ovations to the dancers.

Highlights

On July 17, the National Ballet of China will also hold a ballet knowledge lecture at the CPAA Chengdu Grand Theatre. In addition, the classical ballet masterpiece Swan Lake will be staged on July 18 and 19, allowing Chengdu audiences to experience the distinctive charms of two of the NBC's signature works within a single week.
