Preview of NBC Symphony Orchestra Concert | The Most Appealing Chinese Art for this Summer of Melody

On July 16 and 17, NBC Symphony Orchestra will give two consecutive nights of fantastic concert performances for the audience.

On July 16, NBC Symphony Orchestra will present the performance in the Concert Hall of National Centre for the Performing Arts. The contents in the first half of the performance include Three Fables from Symphony of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei composed by the young composer Shang Peilei, Homesickness for string ensemble arranged by composer Jin Fuzai and Nezha Conquers the Dragon King for guzheng and orchestra by the joint efforts of the Orchestra and the young guzheng performer Wang Yi. In the second half, the Orchestra will perform four sections consisting of 20 musical short works based on Chinese folk music by composer Yu Jingjun under the baton of conductor Zhang Yi.

The second performance which is scheduled to be performed in Shunyi Grand Theatre on July 17 will present Three Symphonic Movements by Yu Jingjun, which is an excerpt from the first original large-scale independent symphony of NBC Symphony Orchestra Symphony of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei in the first half of the performance. And in the second half, the Orchestra will perform the Chinese symphonic classic Ode to the Red Flag composed by Mr. Lü Qiming, five music excerpts from the world classic ballet Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky and excerpts from the classic red ballet The Red Detachment of Women.
