Performing video of Giselle in Tianqiao Theater on April 4

On April 4, the classic ballet of National Ballet of China Giselle ended the performance of this season in Tianqiao Theater. In the last performance, Principal Dancers Xu Yan and Li Wentao took the leading roles "Giselle" and "Albrecht" respectively. Their tacit cooperation and complementary interpretation conquered the hearts of the audience. Also, the wonderful debut of the excellent dancers Wang Jiyu as "Hans", Ou Mengru as "the bride" and Wang Yuxuan as "the bridegroom" in the Peasant Pas de Deux proved the extraordinary strength of the new generation of dancers of NBC.

Led by Concert Master Wang Xiaomao, the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra

delivered a wonderful live performance under the baton of Resident Conductor Liu Ju.

The performance in front of the stage was in order, but behind the scenes there was a sudden "close call". During the Wilis Dance in the Act II, dancer Xu Ziyu accidentally sprained her knee. But with her tenacity, she still completed the tidy and difficult dance without any pause.

Company doctor Wang Gang provided emergency treatment to Xu Ziyu.

Right after the emergent making- up, Hou Shuang prepared for going onto the

stage under the direction of Répétiteur Wang Qi.
